FSCharter has officially released Version 2 into open beta. It is a career and economy platform for flight simulation, and this new build is a major overhaul of the service following several years of development. The new version introduces a rebuilt backend, a persistent global economy, and expanded support for structured airline and charter operations across multiple simulators.
FSCharter V2 is compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020/24, X-Plane, and Prepar3D, and connects to the simulator via an external plugin that tracks flight data without modifying aircraft or core simulator files.
A Rebuilt Career System
Unlike the original release, FSCharter V2 moves away from static job generation. Passenger demand is now dynamic and shared across all users, with passengers required to be transported from their origin to their final destination, often across multiple flight legs.
The platform supports both scheduled routes and on-demand charter flights. These can be dispatched as single flights or as part of multi-leg journeys, allowing operators to replicate real-world airline and charter workflows.
A key feature of FSCharter V2 is its shared economy model. Passenger journeys can be completed by multiple companies, allowing different operators to contribute to a single trip. This enables regional, long-haul, and charter operators to interact within the same global system.
Financial systems have also been expanded. Fuel, maintenance, landing fees, and taxes are now factored into each operation, with poor planning able to result in financial losses. Version 2 also introduces expanded company management tools, such as establishing airline bases, building infrastructure such as hangars and service facilities, and defining their own internal pilot progression rules.

Rather than relying on a global ranking structure, pilot access to aircraft and routes is controlled at a company level, giving operators greater flexibility over how their organisations are run.
FSCharter runs alongside your sim using an external tracking plugin. The plugin manages aircraft positioning, payload, fuel, and flight validation, while allowing users to continue using their preferred aircraft, weather engines, and flight planning tools.

FSCharter v2 is in open beta right now. You can get started for free, but there is a subscription-based model available for those wanting more features. The ‘Core’ version (£4.95 per month, inc Tax) gives you longer job timeouts, Simbrief airframe mapping, plus the ability to view your flights in 3D. If you want even more, there is the ‘Premium Pro’ version that gives you custom company ranks, company roles, pricing strategies, and much more. This version is £14.95 per month (tax included), but you can save 20% if you purchase an annual subscription.
