BRsimDesigns has released their EMB-202 Ipanema Crop Duster for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The Brazilian-made Embraer 202 Ipanema Crop Duster is a simple and rugged turbine tailwheel aircraft used primarily for crop dusting and pesticide roles. Built for high-speed low altitude work, the aircraft is powerful yet stable, and the systems are very basic with the aircraft meant for VFR flying. This aircraft is perfect for non-nonsense “hop in and go” flying across the virtual world to explore the scenery.
Produced by Botucatu-based Embraer subsidiary Industria Aeronautica Nevia of Brazil, over 80% of the EMB-202s sold have had domestic customers within Brazil, out of over 1,000 examples built. The EMB-202 is a modern version of the EMB-200, which was first flown in 1970, and is one of the most popular crop-dusting aircraft in the world in terms of examples built. The EMB-202 offers a 40% capacity increase in chemicals for dropping vs the EMB-200, and it also features winglets for a better fuel burn. A newer EMB-203 mode with improved winglets and avionics was introduced in 2015. BRsimDesigns has re-created the EMB-202 exterior and interior in high detail along with four 4K liveries and functioning drop tanks, with the spray system simulated. While there are few instruments onboard the aircraft, the cockpit itself is very detailed with everything from rivets to circuit breakers detailed and even a GPS built into the panel. Custom animations of interior and exterior parts are also included, as is a custom sound set.
The BRsimDesigns EMB-220 may be purchased from simMarket for direct download for EUR 18.00.
