BRsimDesigns has announced the release of their Grumman AA-5B Tiger for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The Tiger joins the developer’s existing lineup that includes the Ercoupe 415, Beech Bonanza V-Tail, Beech Debonair, Embraer Ipanema crop duster, and Embraer 121A1 XINGU II.
The AA-5B Tiger is a popular four-seat, single-engine aircraft introduced in late 1974 (as a 1975 model) and produced by Grumman American until 1979. The aircraft had a Lycoming O-360-A4K 180hp engine which gave it an impressive 139-knot (257 km/h) cruise speed. Known for its gentle flight characteristics and ease of maintenance, the AA-5B Tiger continues to be popular with pilots today.
BRsimDesigns’ AA-5B Tiger features eight liveries, custom sounds, and custom flight dynamics. Panel integration with WorkingTitle’s GNS530 or the PMS GTN750 is provided and controlled via a tablet-based customization interface that also allows state-saving. The developer states that compatibility with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be included in a future update.
