Scenery developer Boundless Simulations has released Cotswold Airport (EGBP) for X-Plane 11. The iconic UK airport is home to a number of flying schools, GA aviation enthusiasts and now, a graveyard for stored airlines as a result of the global pandemic. The small airport in Gloucestershire, England, has two runways which take you out over the countryside after take off. The airport has served as a filming location for the likes of Top Gear, Classic Car Club and many others.
The airport has been faithfully recreated by the team at Boundless and includes a number of features to bring the airport to life. For example, Cotswold Aiport for X-Plane 11 comes with HD 2020 ortho coverage, which has been sharpened and recoloured to match the surroundings. This imagery also includes the nearby Kemble Village. Furthermore, the airport comes with a range of 3D buildings representing the airport, numerous hangars and also 3D vegetation and grass. Perhaps most striking is the number of static BA 747 aircraft that are lined up at the airport as is the situation today.
Beyond the airport, the team has included nearby farms, custom UK road traffic, and also fully modelled Kemble Village and local businesses.
In related news, you can also buy Ireland West Knock from the developers for X-Plane 11.
