Scenery developer Boundless is back with another release for X-Plane 11. This time, the team heads to the North West coast of the UK with Blackpool Airport (EGNH).
The airport used to be a small base for UK airlines but has since turned into a major GA airfield in the region. Alongside the GA traffic and training aircraft, there is still plenty of private jet traffic and helicopter activity in the area that gives simmers plenty of reason to visit. Following the site visit from the Boundless team in the summer of 2021, the airport has been designed to be as detailed as possible within the simulator.
Boundless has included new ortho imagery for the airport and nearby area and provides a full 4K experience across both the ground and building textures. There are plenty of 3D buildings, vegetation and people throughout, and the new custom GA aircraft give the airport a sense of life. Ground markings are correctly placed and the wear and tear effects add a layer of realism to the scenery.
