Scenery developer Boundless has released Donegal Airport (EIDL) for X-Plane 11 as freeware. Alongside releasing the Irish airport for free, the team has also announced Burg Feuerstein Airport will be released for free in the future.
Donegal Airport has been voted as one of the most scenic airports in the world thanks to its impressive coastal views. Despite being freeware, the team has recreated the airport with an immense amount of detail including PBR 4K texturing, 25cm resolution orthographic ground imagery and custom HD buildings. Furthermore, the airport includes 3D animated flags, accurate layout and also compatible with Ortho4XP tiles and Traffic Global.
You can get Donegal Airport now from the Boundless website for free.
In addition, the team has confirmed they will be released Burg Feuerstein Airport (EDQE) will be released for free in the near future. No details were made on the small German Airfield at this time, but we’ll keep you updated should there be any further news.
