Relatively new scenery developer, Boundless, has announced their latest X-Plane scenery development as Stansted (EGSS).
Over on Facebook, Boundless posted screenshots of a particular location on a UK motorway describing that they have managed to create variable speed, custom road traffic that drives on the left-hand side and even reacts to conditions of the road.
After guesses from the community on their original post, Boundless confirmed that their latest project will indeed be Stansted through a new post with a series of screenshots, one detailing the animated Stansted Express train that runs from the airport into central London. The post also mentions that the team has included the Stansted Arriva buses as well as typical UK lorries and trucks that you will find in the local area to the airport.
Stansted is one of the UK’s busiest airports with Ryanair making it their largest hub flying to over 100 destinations over Europe and North Africa. Along with high numbers of passenger traffic, Stansted is the largest cargo hub close to London, having moved over 250,000 tonnes of freight in 2017 as well as being able to handle the AN-225 Mriya. Stansted is also popular with private aircraft operators from Gulfstreams to 747s such as Air Force One despite being located 40 miles north of the city centre, although this only takes 15 minutes in Marine One.
There has been little detail on the development of the airport itself with most of the screenshots blurring out the airport in the background, but Boundless has proven to work quickly with previous developments, having released six projects in a little over a year. No timeframe or price was disclosed at this point.
