Boris Audio Works has officially released its long-awaited sound overhaul for the PMDG 777 in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. Developed in collaboration with Dave from Fenix, the pack completely transforms the aircraft’s audio environment, offering a deeply authentic and cinematic sound experience for one of Boeing’s most iconic airliners.
This release features all three engine variants — GE90, Trent 800, and PW4000 — each meticulously captured and engineered to highlight their distinct tonal characteristics and startup behaviour. From the thunderous spool-up on takeoff to the layered environmental ambience at cruise, every moment in the cockpit and cabin has been carefully refined for maximum immersion.

Beyond the engines, the package introduces reworked cockpit and cabin sounds, detailed switch and hydraulic effects, and a convincing sense of spatial depth through its headphone simulation feature. Everything has been optimised to ensure a balance between high fidelity and smooth performance across different systems.
Customers who purchase the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 edition will automatically receive the 2024 version free of charge upon checkout, making this a future-proof addition to any simmer’s collection.
You can buy it from Orbx for $22.87 AUD (approximately $15 USD, excluding any tax).
There are also single-engine editions, priced at $12.00 AUD (excluding tax).
