Boris Audio Works has released its Cessna 172 Sound Set for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, bringing a detailed audio overhaul to the simulator’s default Cessna 172 Skyhawk.
The package features high-definition interior and exterior recordings, with dynamic engine sounds responding to throttle, RPM and atmospheric loads. Wind and aerodynamic effects have also been enhanced to react to airspeed and airframe stresses.
Cockpit interactions have been expanded with dedicated sounds for switches, buttons, knobs and mechanical controls. The stall warning system has also been reworked, with multiple audio stages based on the aircraft’s angle of attack.
Ground handling audio has received attention too, with enhanced touchdown and rolling sounds that respond to touchdown speed and sink rate. Additional effects cover systems including fuel pumps, gyros and avionics cooling fans.

You can purchase the Cessna 172 Sound Set for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 by Boris Audio Works from Orbx Direct for $7.99 AUD (Approx: US$5.69 | €4,96 | £4.26).
Previous customers who purchased the 2020 version can upgrade for free via Orbx Central, and vice versa.
