Boris Audio Works has updated its PMDG 777 Ultimate Sound Set to V1.2.0 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024.
The new update addresses several issues and enhances overall audio fidelity including refining the engine fadeout curve further for smoother transitions with speed, adjusting passenger chatter to ensure it’s no longer audible from the jumpseat, and tweaking the GE90-115B’s signature “metal” whine for a more authentic tone.
Additional refinements include a more dramatic GE90 spool-up volume change, fixing the TCAS warning sound from being inaudible, a fix for the looping oxygen test sound, and adjustments ensuring slat drag sounds are only heard when appropriate. The takeoff rumble has been made louder and more distinct in the rear cabin, and cockpit touchdown volumes have also been rebalanced. All three Boeing 777 engine variants have also received further polishing and quality improvements alongside an even louder APU sound.
Lastly, a MSFS marketplace version of the PMDG 777 Ultimate Sound Set for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is coming soon as well.
