Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (KPHX/PHX) is the primary connecting point for fliers traveling through the American southwest. With the airport being a hub for American Airlines, Frontier Airlines, and Southwest Airlines, the airport grew to the 8th busiest airport in the United States and the 11th busiest airport in the world in 2021. The airport was originally a major hub for defunct carrier America West Airlines, which merged with U.S. Airways, which eventually merged with American Airlines. Recently, the airport underwent extensive renovations and expansions in Terminals 3 and 4.
BMWorld and AmSim’s rendition of Sky Harbor Airport depicts the most recent layout of the real-life airport with custom ground markings, high-resolution ground textures, full FSLTL compatibility, animated Sky Train, and more.
While the airport’s modeling and objects are incredibly detailed, the photo previews show some aircraft parked at the incorrect parking spots and Southwest Airlines jetway logos at the American Airlines gates. However, these are minor issues that should be easy to correct. Overall, with the abundance of sunshine and surrounding terrain, this Phoenix scenery looks fantastic in MSFS.
