BlueBird Simulations, following an extensive development cycle, has finally confirmed a firm release date for its hotly-anticipated 757 for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Since development started, the team has set out an ambitious goal of creating a detailed rendition of the Boeing 757. Over time, the scope expanded, and the release goal kept moving. Whilst this was a cause of frustration for some, it’s anticipated that the wait will be worth it.

In a new blog post, the team has confirmed that the BlueBird Simulation will release on October 23rd 2026.
According to the team, the aircraft itself is largely complete, with final work continuing on the systems, flight dynamics, sounds and avionics. The additional development time is instead primarily being spent preparing the infrastructure required for BlueBird’s first commercial product, including activation services, distribution networks, web portals and server capacity.

The team is also addressing compatibility issues introduced by the recent Sim Update 7 Beta for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. These fixes will apply to the initial version of the aircraft, while work continues separately on a fully native MSFS 2024 edition.
BlueBird has also cautioned that some minor issues may still be present at launch, with the developer planning to monitor feedback and release fixes as problems are identified by the wider community.
Stay tuned as FSElite will be providing plenty of coverage in the build up to the release of the BlueBird Simulation 757 coming next month.
