BlueBird Simulations have teased the EFB (electronic flight bag) for their upcoming Boeing 757 in Microsoft Flight Simulator, in a post on their social media account.
The update also included an early preview of their Boeing 767, with the team writing ‘we’ve begun initial work on the flight model of the 767 while the rest of the 3D model is being worked on’. The BlueBird team hope to show textured shoes of the Boeing 767 by ‘early next year’.
Regarding the EFB, the post says the initial release of the 757 will come with full Simbrief integration along with other menus to control a variety of features on the aircraft. It adds ‘over the course of the 757 development after release, we will integrate more features to turn this into one of the best EFB’s on the market’.
Simmers are undoubtedly keen to know of a release date for the iconic single-aisle Boeing jet, and the post did touch upon this. Although no firm date has been set for the arrival of the 757, the team say they are ‘pushing hard for the end of the year’ but will be able to give the community a better idea around ‘mid to late October if we can make an end of year release or if it needs to be pushed back into 2025.’
Encouragingly, the post concludes by claiming ‘we’re making sure not to rush this plane. It is shaping up VERY nicely.’
