BlueBird Simulations recently posted an update on Reddit, mentioning that their upcoming Boeing 757 has entered stage 2 of beta testing.
Stage 2 out of 3 of the beta testing phase means that all of the systems (minus the EFB, which is 50% complete) are in beta testing. Testers have been providing great feedback and mentioned that the performance on their machines has been excellent.
Stage 3 of beta testing will be much shorter as it focuses on the EFB and cosmetic areas of the Boeing 757. Once they enter stage 3, a Q3 2026 release date announcement will follow a few weeks later.

BlueBird Simulations 757 FAQ
Which variants will be included, and what will the base package look like?
The initial release will include the 200 ( RR and PW ), with the 300 coming soon after as a free update. Additionally, we aim to incorporate both winglet versions and the standard wingtip (non-winglet) models of the 757. The passenger version will be priced at $80 for all variants and for 2020/2024.
As for the freighter variant, we plan to offer it as a paid expansion pack. This pack will include specialised models and systems tailored specifically for the freighter variant. Moreover, we intend to introduce system enhancements that will be provided free of charge to our base package customers, benefiting both the passenger and freighter variants.
Will the BlueBird 757 be released on Xbox?
We do have plans to release the 757 on Xbox, but it will not be released at the same time as the PC version.
Will we have the option for different avionics suites on the 757 in the future, e.g. FDFS or LDS?
We have plans to recreate the flat panel display system (FPDS) on the 757, but we currently have no plans to develop the large display system (LDS) for the 757. Please keep in mind that neither of these systems will be available at release and will be added in future updates/expansions.
Will the 757 have failures?
The initial release will have some failures. However, a more comprehensive failure system will come after release. One of the reasons we modelled so many circuit breakers (over 200) was specifically for failures.
What features will the 757 have?
We’ll publish a full initial release feature list of the aircraft sometime in June. Keep in mind that we plan on adding many more features after the release. The features after release will be mainly related to failures and some eye candy updates. The current feature list very comprehensive and will be published in June. This includes, but is not limited to, a fully functional FMS custom-coded from the ground up with full LNAV /VNAV capability.
What version of MSFS will the 757 be compatible with?
The initial release of the 757 will be for FS2020 and will be compatible with FS2024. The FS2024 compatible version will be fully functional from a systems standpoint but will be missing some of the native features of 2024, such as the interactive exterior panels and walk-around mode. A fully native FS2024 version will come at some point after release as a FREE update.
