After releasing the CFM sound pack for the MSFS version of the FSLabs A321 a couple of months ago, Blue Sky Star Simulations has finally released the IAE V2500 sound pack.
The IAE V2500 engine is a high-bypass turbofan engine developed by International Aero Engines, a joint venture between Pratt and Whitney, Rolls Royce, Japanese Aero Engine Corporation, and MTU Aero Engines. In addition to the A320 family, the V2500 powers the McDonell Douglas MD-90 and the Embraer C-390 Millennium. Since 2018, over 7,600 V2500 engines have been manufactured with over 200 million hours of flight time. The type includes a number of variants, with the most powerful variant producing over 31,300 pounds of thrust.
Blue Sky Star Simulations’ IAE V2500 sound pack is built from scratch and includes over 300 sound samples. With 360 degrees of sound cones on the interior and exterior, the sound pack is designed to fully immerse flight simmers into the A321. The sound pack covers an array of aircraft features including the A321’s iconic hydraulic sounds, ground roll sounds, boarding/deboarding sounds, turbulence sounds, and much more. In addition to the release of the IAE, Blue Sky Star Simulations recently updated their CFM sound pack for the MSFS version of the FSLabs A321.
You can purchase your copy of the Blue Sky Star Simulations IAE V2500 sound pack directly from their website for $14.50. The developer noted on their Facebook page, the pack should be available on simMarket soon.
Features
- Total of 327 sound samples that build the IAE from scratch – all outside and inside in 360 degrees with proper cones
- Vibration that reacts to physics – some vibration on the ground, more vibration once the gear leaves the ground
- Jet blast that penetrates the gear doors – if they close, it moves out
- 10 years of work on each CFM and IAE type – improved every year
- Every seat on the plane makes the engine sound different
- Pitch and volume of each 10% of N1 are scientifically and musically designed with correct formulas to present the most realistic engine sound ever created for this type
- Shaking panels from engine vibrations
