Black Box Simulation has taken to Facebook to inform the community of the current status update with their Airbus Prologue series. Version 0.90 has been in development for some time, with many curious what is going on. However, the team shared that work has been on-going, but they have been busy working on new features and modelling.
The first piece of work spoken about was the complete re-write of the MCDU. This will include all functionality according to the Facebook post. Furthermore, extensive work has been done on adding in the EFIS2 LCD screens within the flight deck. These screens will be an option – so if you would prefer the older CRT screens, you can simply select them. The Virtual Cockpit has also been rebuilt from the ground up to include new textures and lighting.
In addition to the above, work has been done to include new Airbus variants including the A320/21 NEO, the A340-200 and A340-500 Plus, and also the newest to the Airbus fleet: the A330-800/900 NEO.
All of this and options for WiFi Satellite domes and ‘window blanks’ will be included in the V0.90 update. The team are also keen to let you know that the tail fins have been reworked based on community feedback.
As for dates, Black Box Simulation stated that they are working hard to get it out as soon as possible. They’re aiming to release it in the 1st quarter of 2019.
If any additional news is revealed, we’ll let you know.
