This seemingly all-encompassing scenery addon expands on its seasonal offerings by delivering a plethora of new enhancements. While bringing four seasons to Microsoft Flight Simulator is a nice touch, Bijan Habashi’s 4 Season Pack is expanding into new territory with custom animations.
The “main course” is of course the addition of seasons and additional vegetation in MSFS. Namely, Spring will include the bright green vegetation that one would expect in addition to a myriad of different colors to represent cherry blossoms, jacaranda, etc. Summer has a variety of different vegetation, all in different shades of green. Fall includes seasonal colors of brown and orange (while tropical areas are unaffected). Finally, Winter will add brown and gray alongside green conifer trees in colder regions in addition to snow.
However, what makes the Earth FX Edition special is that it adds a significant amount of animated effects to the living, breathing world around us. For example, it includes animated waterfalls in Yosemite, animated lava explosions, and ash clouds in a number of famous volcanos. Thunder Mountain wildfires with 30,000 burnt trees have been included as well! The list goes on.
