XPL and MSFS developer Axonos has released their latest scenery for XPL12, Owen Roberts International Airport.
Owen Roberts International Airport (MWCR/GCM) serves the capital city of the Cayman Islands, George Town, and is the primary gateway to the Cayman Islands. The airport is named after British Royal Air Force commander Owen Roberts and began commercial operations in 1952. A number of expansion and renovation projects have taken place at the airport in recent years. Most notably, the airport was renovated to accommodate wide-body aircraft in 2014. Today, the airport serves as the primary hub for Cayman Airways but is also served by the major American carriers, Air Canada, British Airways, and WestJet.
Axonos’ rendition of Owen Roberts International Airport includes custom 3D modeling of the entire airport, including 3D-modeled building interiors. In addition, the scenery includes PBR ground textures, animated marshallers, custom ground markings specific to Owen Robert Airport, and more. To enhance the scenery’s realism, Axonos added 3D trees and custom weather maps to truly make it feel like you are flying into the Cayman Islands.
