Developer AVX Simulations is back with another useful tool to help us manage and run our simulators. AVX Tune is a new tool to help you tune your flight simulator settings and optimise your performance.
AVX Tune sets itself apart by several notable features, one of which is that the tool creates a snapshot every time it makes changes. This allows you to measure the impact and, if the result is undesirable, roll back to a previous version.
The tool also helps with measuring the actual performance of the simulator through Intel PresentMon. This is an open-source tool that can measure actual frame timing, GPU and CPU execution time, display latency, FPS percentile and more. AVX Tune uses this data to make settings recommendations to help you squeeze every last bit of performance out of your set-up.
AVX Tune also comes with several other handy features, such as a cache cleaner, preset editor, ‘sim update watcher’ and more. AVX Simulations’ AVX Tune is available for €9,99 through their own website. AVX Tune works with MSFS 2020 & 2024 as well as X-Plane 11 & 12.
