Aviotek Simulation Software Announces Frankfurt, Teases Multiple MSFS Airports

Scenery developer Aviotek Simulation Software has today announced that they are bringing Frankfurt Airport (EDDF) to Microsoft Flight Simulator. In a teaser post shared on the company’s Facebook page, the team will be bringing the German airport to Microsoft Flight Simulator and also X-Plane 11. This is the first time Aviotek Simulation Software will venture into creating German airports, so to see them tackle one of the biggest hubs in the country is surprising.

For those eagle-eyed amongst you, you will notice there are also other project folders in the cryptic teaser shared by Aviotek Simulation Software. Included is a folder titled “MSFS20-XP TECNAM P2008”, which indicates that they will be bringing their upcoming aircraft to both platforms, along with another secret project. Finally, a folder called “MSFS20 CONVERTED APTS” clearly shows there are a range of airports being converted from X-Plane coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator.

In the past Aviotek Simulation Software has developed airports such as Dubai International (OMDB), Skiathos Island (LGSK), and Venice Marco Polo Airport (LIPZ). It could be possible that all of these airports are being converted, but the teaser post stopped short of confirming anything other than what we’ve mentioned above.

For now, you can follow Aviotek Simulation Software on Facebook to stay updated.
