Developer Aviotek has shared some new details surrounding its freeware Frankfurt Airport (EDDF) coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator, including the release date.
The team shared a new post on their website that indicates what to expect when the product is released. They said that during the course of development, there were some new features and bugs that meant they had to remake from scratch various areas of the airport. This has resulted in a better product overall.
That said, Aviotek says that they are now close to release with this new product and shared a feature list. This includes custom animated jetways, detailed apron areas, terminal interiors (with an option to disable them), custom ground profiles and POIs and an up-to-date airport layout. You can see the full planned feature list below.

Aviotek say that they will continue to update this airport over time, including the yet-to-be-finished T3. Other areas will get a glow-up, making the product even better.
Finally, in the new screenshots provided, Aviotek revealed that the freeware airport will be released on June 14th 2024.
