AviationLads, known for creating content and trailers for many other developers, has released their first own add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The add-on, named Cockpit2Ground, aims to enhance your immersion and make your flights more realistic by completely overhauling the sounds for Fsdreamteam’s GSX.
Cockpit2Ground replaces the default audio cues from GSX with a completely dynamic ground-to-cockpit communication system. It takes into account parameters such as your aircraft type, the GSX tug vehicle type, and time-of-day and weather conditions among other things. All these parameters influence the communication and style of comms that the ground crew will be using, including the engine start sequence (which depends on aircraft type), or whether or not weather conditions require a delayed engine start. Cockpit2Ground’s ground crew will also keep you up to date on your off-block time, and take care of ground power disconnection for you, to name a few more examples.
AviationLads’ Cockpit2Ground comes with over 180 unique voices, complete with regional accents from all over the world. It’s location aware, meaning you can expect local languages if within the parameters of your flight.
Cockpit2Ground is available for €14,99 through Contrail. It should be noted that GSX is a requirement for Cockpit2Ground to work, and needs to be purchased separately.
