AviaSim Designs, a newcomer to the MSFS community, has released Conington Aerodrome, their first product for MSFS.
Conington Aerodrome (EGSF), officially known as Peterborough Business Airport, is a private airport in Cambridgeshire, England. The airport began its life in 1942 as RAF Glatton. Constructed by the 809th United States Army Corps of Engineers, the airfield housed a fleet of B-17 Flying Fortresses. After World War II ended, the airport was handed over to the RAF Bomber Command. While much of the original infrastructure no longer stands, the airport still has a 3,238 foot runway and a flight school for those looking to get their private pilot license.
AviaSim Designs’ rendition of Conington Aerodrome features an up-to-date layout of the airport with custom satellite imagery, 4K PBR textures, dynamic lights, and more. Overall, this tranquil airfield offers flight simmers the ability to immerse themselves in the English countryside and practice their general aviation skills.
You can purchase AviaSim Designs’ Conington Aerodrome scenery from SimMarket for €10.00. However, the developer noted on their Facebook page that in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of D-Day and the 457th Bomb Group, the product will be discounted 50% from May 31st – June 10th.
