A new free tool designed to help avoid your ears being blown off whilst on VATSIM.

Audio Normaliser by KatiePilot Released for Free

KatiePilot has released a new utility designed to make flying on VATSIM more comfortable by automatically adjusting audio levels in real time. The Audio Normaliser ensures that both pilots and controllers are heard at a consistent volume, removing the need to constantly adjust your headset levels during busy sessions. All of this is completely free as a tool available on FlightSim.to.

The tool works by applying real-time audio normalisation between your VATSIM client (vPilot or xPilot) and your playback device. It includes a built-in limiter to prevent audio spikes and also offers a configurable delay to help smooth out transmissions. Setup is straightforward, requiring only Windows’ WASAPI loopback with no need for additional drivers or virtual cables.

You can get it for free from FlightSim.to.

You can also keep an eye on KatiePilot’s other project, efbX, by keeping an eye on the website.
