AOA Simulations has released the Van’s RV-8, a tandem two-seat light aircraft capable of 174 knots and aerial acrobatics.
Over on their Facebook page, AOA Simulations mention that the aircraft features two versions, the RV-8 conventional tail wheel variant and RV-8A Tri-cycle variant. The aircraft has been modelled with precision to include animated pilots, custom Garmin G1000 PFD and MFD along with an accurate flight model and PBR textures.
The Van’s RV-8/A has been developed from the earlier RV-4 aircraft by American based Van’s aircraft, built from 1995. The RV-8 comes with the ability to have larger engines installed that produce around 150-200bhp. This gives the light aircraft fantastic speeds with the ability to perform some aerobatic manoeuvers making this a favourite of the lightweight sports cruisers.
