The team at AOA Simulations has dropped some more previews of their upcoming Boeing/Saab T-X jet trainer.
While the previews lack PBR and animations, the modelling has progressed to a point where the plane exterior is looking relatively complete.
The Boeing T-X is a single-engine advanced jet trainer powered by a GE F404 after burning turbofan engine. The aircraft was first revealed in 2016, and in 2018 it was announced that the T-X would become the new U.S. Air Force’s jet trainer, replacing the T-38 Talon. Over the course of the program, Boeing (in partnership with Saab group) will provide the USAF with 351 aircraft and 46 simulators at a total cost of US$9.2 billion.
Progress on the X-Plane version of the jet trainer can be followed on AOA’s Facebook page.
