Developer AKD Studio has released their much-anticipated GLF650 for X-Plane 11/12. Based on the popular G650 from American aircraft manufacturer, Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation (but not directly called that by the developer due to legal reasons), the bizjet typically seats between 11 and 18 passengers in ultra-luxury accommodations. AKD Studio’s release includes both the standard-range GLF650 and the longer-range GLF650ER model, which can fly an impressive 7,000+ nautical miles (13,000 km) without refueling.
The GLF650 contains many custom-developed systems including environmental, electrical, flight control, and fire protection. A custom HUD (Head-Up Display), flight management system (FMS), and automatic flight system with fully custom LNAV and VNAV are also included. Custom MFD coding includes aircraft normal and abnormal checklists and many system synoptic pages. AKD’s Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) can be used to control aircraft refueling, ground services, static elements, and loading. SimBrief integration via the EFB allows a SimBrief flight plan to be imported directly into the active flight plan in the FMS.

AKD Studio’s GLF650 is available via the X-Plane.org store for $44.95. Customers who have also purchased AKD Studio’s GLF550 biz jet will automatically receive a 25% discount when the GLF650 is added to their cart.
