Airworthy Designs announced just a few days ago that they are working on bringing St Barts to X-Plane 11. Not wanting to let fans of their older products go away thinking they were done, the team provided a brief overview of what’s to come in the future.
The first thing Airworthy Designs wanted to let you know is that the updates will be available a few weeks once X-Plane 11.30 is stable. It’s been in testing for a while, so we’re imagining it won’t be far off. As for the airports getting an update, you can expect Princess Juliana Airport (TNCM), Grand Case-Espérance Airport (TFFG) and Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport (TQPF) to be buffed up a bit.
All of these airports form part of the Princess of the Caribbean Airport package released a while back from the team. It’s been updated a few times since, but update 1.7 will also bring new features. The one most of you will be keen to hear is that Princess Juliana Airport has been hugely optimised for a boost in performance, all whilst adding more clutter around the airport, new heliports and added additional interior details.
TFFG will also see interior modelling, 3D people and other improvements, whilst custom autogen for the whole island will be added for TQPF.
If you want to, you can buy Part 1 of the Princess of the Caribbean package right now from X-Plane.org for $32.95. You can also view some of our exclusive images of the product here.
