Airworthy Designs announced another scenery offering for Microsoft Flight Simulator – The Island of St. Barths.
In a Facebook post last week, Airworthy Designs teased the scenery/airport with a screenshot of the island. The post also featured a list of what fans of the airport will be happy to hear. Not only is the whole island modeled, but the scenery will include full terminal interiors, dynamic animations, animated traffic, and new airport features that were recently added in real life.
The Saint Barthélemy Airport, also known as Gustaf III Airport, Rémy de Haenen Airport, or sometimes St. Jean Airport has been a popular destination for simmers for many years due to its very short runway and close proximity to a nearby road. The challenge of clearing a hill on final approach and needing to touch down early to avoid ending up in the ocean will surely get any simmer’s heart racing.
The island of St. Barths pairs nicely with Airworthy Design’s other offering for Microsoft Flight Simulator, namely their Saint Martin and Grand Case scenery, which is a short hop away from St. Barths and also offers unique challenges. You can check that out on SimMarket if you fancy some island hopping. No release date has been announced but be sure to check back in to FSElite where we continuously provide information as announcements are made.
