Developer Airworthy Designs has confirmed that they have begun development on St Barts on Saint Barthélemy island. Whilst the platform hasn’t been confirmed, it’s likely to be for X-Plane 11 considering their history of scenery development. We have been following Airworthy Designs for a while, especially their work with the excellent Princess Juliana Airport for X-Plane 11.
The airport was announced via their Facebook page with just a couple of renders. The associated post said that it’s a product which will come in 2019.
St Barts airport is known for its steep and challenging approach, short runway and possible runway overshoot into water. It serves a bunch of nearby islands for both cargo and passenger operations.
No further details were shared regarding the project at this time.
