Owners of the Airfoillabs King Air 350 on X-Plane 11 will be pleased to know that the aircraft has been updated to version 1.5. The new long-awaited version focuses on the physical modelling, avionics, performance and overall handling of the aircraft. The update adds an extensive range of new features and has been supported by pilots and flight instructors who have experience with the real-world aircraft.
One of the biggest new features with the update is the introduction of a new Quick Look system. This will enable virtual pilots to quickly snap to different views around the flight deck to help reduce the workload during critical phases of flight. Further to the quick views feature, the aircraft has seen numerous tweaks to elements such as the torque, various switches and animations within the cockpit. The aircraft has also had bleed fail annunciators implemented and assigning commands for two-state switches in the aircraft have been improved. The full list of changes and bug fixes are down below.
Development of the Airfoillabs King Air 350 will continue even beyond this update. Airfoillabs has confirmed that virtual reality controls and support are in development and a new failure system is also being worked on for in the future. Both of these features are currently in progress and more details will come in the future.
