A new Airbus A3XX steering tiller is now available to buy from a company called IIDB. The company reached out to us with a press release to inform us that a new FO side of the steering tiller is also available for the community.
The new steering tiller is an accurate representation of the A3XX steering tiller. The tabletop use is designed with a full metal gimbal and has a solid metal bottom base. You can use the detachable USB-C cable to connect it to your PC and is functional with a range of Microsoft Flight Simulator aircraft.
The team say it’s been created with a “realistic button and clock face backlight. An ultra-precise 16-bit resolution contactless digital sensor and an Arm® Cortex®-M4 32-bit chip for responsive performance provide exceptional control accuracy. It includes one programmable button and Z-axis.”
Being a new company (at least for us), we reached out to get more information on their business and the ordering process. Alexey G from IIDB.pro provided us with a brief history of his experience and why IIDB was set up. He has had over 20 years of experience in the flight simulation space (10 as a user and 10 as a flight simulator hardware maker), having also worked at VKB sim. The original steering tiller spent 5 years in development and has been on the market for the past 5 months (with the Captain version of the tiller). Alexey said in this time they have had orders from various aircraft developers and enthusiasts and expressed their pleasure with the product. We were provided some reviews from customers.
As for the order process, Alexey provided us with some insight as to why you first need to contact IIDB rather than a conventional order form. He said that this is due to a few reasons. Firstly, they do not ship to some countries such as Russia, Belarus, and (temporarily) China. In order to ensure customers are receiving the right information, he prefers to have a bit of personal contact first to avoid anyone being disappointed.

In addition, in order for the company to provide accurate shipping information and cost, the direct contact provides real-time cost and estimated shipment times to customers. Finally, as the team does not have a large space to assemble multiple batches, and does not want to take payment for pre-orders, they use this method to ensure only stock on hand is being offered.
If you would like to learn more, you can do so via the IIDB.pro website. If you are looking to buy the A3XX Steering Tiller, the Captain and FO sides can be picked up for $289 each (plus shipping and local custom fees).
