Aerosoft has made the decision to discontinue their NavDataPro application per the end of the year. The service will shut down and no longer be accessible after December 31st, 2024. This was announced in an e-mail sent to Aerosoft customers.
NavDataPro has been running since 2012, offering AIRAC navigation data for aircraft. It was available in a yearly, quarterly and monthly subscription form. Since 2016, Aerosoft’s utility also offered navigational charts provided by Lufthansa systems.
As a reason for the discontinuation of NavDataPro, Aerosoft cites mainly economic reasons. As both the cost to continue developing the tool, as well as the cost to acquire the basic data required for it were set to increase, Aerosoft saw no way to keep NavDataPro running that would bring them economic benefit.
Customers that currently have a subscription that ends after the discontinuation date can reach out to Aerosoft for a partial refund.
