Aerosoft has started teasing its next major airport scenery, and whilst the official reveal isn’t expected until Monday, the clues point rather clearly towards Venice Marco Polo Airport (LIPZ).
The project is being developed by Jo Erlend Sund and Lukas Vezyroglou, the same duo responsible for Aerosoft’s recent Stuttgart Airport, as well as Düsseldorf and Frankfurt.
Aerosoft’s initial screenshots put plenty of attention on one of Venice Marco Polo’s more distinctive features: its waterside location. The airport’s water-taxi terminal and piers can already be seen taking shape alongside the terminal, jetways and apron areas. Other previews show work around stands C41, C42 and D, together with various pieces of ground equipment.

It’s also a bit of a change of scenery for the development team, which has become particularly known for recreating major German airports. Their most recent release, Stuttgart, made extensive use of MSFS 2024 features with walkable terminal interiors, animated passengers and a more interactive airport environment.
Interestingly, Aerosoft won’t be alone in Venice. Atelic also announced its own rendition of Marco Polo Airport earlier this month, meaning simmers will eventually have another choice when it comes to visiting the lagoon-side airport.
For now, Aerosoft hasn’t confirmed a release date, price or even the supported simulator platforms. More details are expected when the scenery is formally announced on Monday.
