EDIT: It appears as though enough requests have been sent. More info here.
Over on the Aerosoft Forum, Community Manager, Mathijs Kok has made an announcement that Aerosoft is seeking for new beta testers to join the team.
Aerosoft is looking for new beta testers to assist in finding bugs and hiccups for the further development of all of their current Airbus aircraft. This team is named the Bus Beta Test Team (BBTT).
Mathijs explains that a beta testing team will eventually lose interest in their task due to the repetitive nature of flying a route over and over again in the same set of aircraft, so that means the team will eventually need to be reset.
There is a set of criterion which you’ll need to fit into:
- You need to know busses and preferably have access to FOMs etc.
- You need to be serious, mature and dedicated.
- Not only available on the weekend.
- Willing to make identical 20 ascends to check performance.
- A high forum standing makes it far more likely to be accepted.
- You need a Skype account.
If everything in the above checks out and you’d like to assist, you can go ahead and send Mathijs an email to mathijs[dot]kok[@]aerosoft[dot]com. A lot of emails are expected to come through as this is an opportunity we’re sure a lot of people would like to pick up on, you’ll only be contacted if you’ve been accepted.
In exchange for beta testing, Aerosoft will give you access to the latest versions of the A318/A319/A320/A321/A330 and offer additional free downloads from their shop.
Furthermore, in addition to the voluntary beta team, Aerosoft is also seeking a paid beta tester. This job requires you to work 20 hours a week alongside Aerosoft’s developers. In addition to the above-mentioned criterion, you’ll need to be available between 15:00 and 17:00 (German time) daily. You get to choose the rest of your hours.
