Aerosoft Releases Split Resnik Airport for XP11

Following recent previews, developer and publishing house Aerosoft, in cooperation with PAD-Labs and Stairport Sceneries, has released its rendition of Split Resnik Airport (LDSP) for XP11.

Split Resnik Airport (LDSP) is an international airport located on the west side of Kaštela Bay on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast. It serves as the main port of entry to the region. The airport saw about 3.3 million passengers pass through its halls in 2019, making it the 2nd busiest airport in all of Croatia.

Originally, aviation history began in Split with the opening of a grass airfield located near the coastal town of Sinj. This airfield saw regular commercial services starting in 1931 with Aeroput, Air Serbia’s predecessor, operating services linking Croatia’s capital Zagreb with Belgrade, Rijeka, Sarajevo, and Split. Following the end of WWII, the airfield was relocated to its present location, with today’s Split Resnik Airport (LDSP) opening its doors on November 25th, 1966. During the Balkan conflict, the airport saw limited commercial operations and was mainly used by Western forces as a military operations hub, exclusively seeing NATO and UN traffic operating from its grounds.

Publishing house Aerosoft, in cooperation with PAD-Labs and Stairport Sceneries, has recently released its rendition of this iconic and history-rich Balkan holiday destination for XP11. Buyers of the product will, in addition to being treated with a faithful recreation of Split Resnik Airport (LDSP), also be provided with an accurate recreation of Resnik Seaport Croatia (LDSR) as well as the close-by military airfield “Divulje” (LDHD). The scenery comes included with many features, including high-resolution photorealistic and PBR texturescustom HDR night lighting, as well as custom seasonal textures and static aircraft, among others.

The scenery is now available for purchase from the simMarket online store and will set you back €15.07 E.x. VAT. Currently, it does not seem as though customers of the previously released Aerosoft Split X for FSX and P3D are entitled to a cross-platform discount.
