The “World’s Most Dangerous Airport”, Lukla, has been released for Prepar3D V4. Aerosoft Lukla – Mount Everest Extreme is the successor to “Lukla X -Mount Everest”, this new version brings far more content than the past and sets the bar even higher for Lukla and the surrounding area.
Lukla features an extremely short, severely sloped runway, with a mountain wall at the end, and poor weather. If that wasn’t enough fun, the airspace around Lukla is uncontrolled and has no navigational aids. Along with Lukla Airport, this package includes 4 highly detailed airports, Syangboche, Phaplu, Kangel Danda, and Rumjatar. Aerosoft additionally added 7 other airports that are less detailed but include; tower positions, ground layouts, and hand-edited terrain, these include Man kaya Khanidanda, Bhojpur, Tumlingtar, Ramechhap, Jiri, Taplejung Suketar, and Lamidanda. 12 helipads are included as well as Mount Everest basecamp.
No detail was spared while making this scenery, the coverage area spans a massive 200×200 kilometer area. Hand-edited terrain mesh with more than 366,000 cultivation buildings and more than 60 million individually placed trees sit upon hand-edited, geo-referenced, combinations of satellite imagery around the core areas that smoothly transition to default scenery. Individual points of interest and night illumination of Lukla are also included.
Aerosoft Lukla – Mount Everest Extreme can be downloaded from Aerosoft for €30.20. This is a brand new product, not an update for existing users of Aerosoft’s Lukla X.
