Aerosoft Releases Liepaja Airport for P3D

Being at it again, talented developer Pavel Movzer, in conjunction with publishing house Aerosoft, has released his rendition of Liepaja Airport (EVLA) for P3D users to enjoy.

Liepaja Airport (EVLA) is a small regional airport located within the Grobiņa Municipality in the western part of Latvia. Although the airport currently sees no international traffic, it is certified to accommodate international connections. Interestingly, the airport began operations during the Cold War era, serving in a purely military capacity as a Soviet Anit-Air Defense base. Presently, the airport is a commercial facility and features a 2000m long runway and a small terminal building, able to accommodate airliners up to the size of Airbus A220-300 jetliner. The airport also serves as a base for airBaltic’s Aviation Academy, resulting in up & coming commercial pilots frequently training on the airport’s grounds. Sadly, as of today, the airport only handles a single regularly scheduled passenger service, an airBaltic connection to Latvia’s capital city, Riga.

Talented developer Pavel Movzer, known among others for his accurate recreation of Bratislava Airport for P3D, has released his rendition of this intriguing Latvian airport for P3D users to discover. According to the scenery’s product page, the airport comes included with, among others, detailed photorealistic ground imagery provided by the Latvian government, faithfully recreated 3D models of airport buildings and structures, dynamic lighting, as well as weather-dependent runway lighting. In addition, the developer has also included many city-specific landmarks in this release, including a faithful recreation of the city’s important seaport.

Should you feel the need to render Latvia a visit, then feel free to pick up Pavel Movzer’s rendition of Liepaja Airport (EVLA) for P3D via the simMarket online store. The package will cost you €19.29 E.x. VAT.
