After plenty of teasing and previewing, Aerosoft has finally released Gran Canaria Professional (GCLP). Gran Canaria, just like the other islands in the Canary Islands series, has been developed by Sim-wings. This scenery the fifth instalment in the series. All that are missing now from the line-up now are Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, if you include the ‘light version’ of Tenerife Norte with was included with Tenerife Sur. The release is following closely on the release of Tenerife Sur just a week ago.
Aerosoft’s Gran Canaria Professional comes with high resolution aerial imagery for the entire island, that has been colour corrected to look true to life. It also comes with SODE jetways and dynamic jetways. Though we have kind of come to expect these last two features as standard now, it’s still good to see developers get on board with them.
But there are also some more outstanding features for this scenery. For instance, the inclusion of pre-rendered self-shadowing or ambient occlusion. Sim-wings has also used PBR material textures for windows and ground water effects, and there is an option not to use this if you so prefer. The airport also features interior decoration.
