Situation in Beek, in Limburg, the airport is 6 miles away from Maastricht and 18 miles away from Aachen, Germany. Because it sits so close to the border, it provides cargo airlines (and some passenger operators), great accessibility in Europe. As such, there are plenty of cargo routes to fly in your simulator. For example, Emirates, Qatar, Turkish and Sauia cargo airlines all regularly visit. The airport has seen substantial growth in the past few years, with passenger numbers rising by over 100% in the past year.
ST Simulations has created the airport with a number of features, including custom CGL aerial image, custom static aircraft, various hangars and airport buildings, along with custom taxiway signage. Furthermore, there is highly detailed PBR textures, modelling and surface markings to match the real-world airport. Expect to find 3D models with interiors, along with EUROCONTROL Maastricht Upper Area Control Centre (MUAC).
