Aerosoft Release Helgoland v2 for FSX

Aerosoft has been on a roll recently with their Helgoland scenery. First the release of Helgoland Professional for P3D v4, then previews of the scenery in Aerofly FS 2, and now finally a trip back home to where it all began for Helgoland; FSX!

Aerosoft has realized that  their previous Helgoland X scenery has grown old, but is still a very popular destination. In light of this, they have decided to create a worthy and up to date successor, Helgoland v2 brings a higher level of detail and countless new as well as new exciting features and options. Large parts of this scenery were created from scratch for this new version as well!

I’ll skip the explanation on the history and background of Helgoland because we have covered it many times in the past in previous articles, so I’ll skip right to the good stuff.

New features of this version include an entirely updated Duene island layout, new image material with improved resolution, runways and aprons with high resolution textures, improved rain effects, and much more! A full feature list can be found at the bottom of this article.
