Aerosoft Provides Pricing Indication for Airbus A330

Over the past weeks, Aerosoft’s Mathijs Kok has repeatedly taken to the Aerosoft forums to provide readers with updates regarding the development of the company’s Airbus A330 for MSFS product.

Mathijs has indicated numerous changes have been made to the aircraft, including, for example, that charts displayed on the aircraft’s EFB can now be viewed in DAY mode while the overall EFB mode would remain dark, improving readability. Also, the EFB’s panel state save feature is now operational, and the performance calculation tab is nearing completion.

Regarding whether the EFB’s performance calculation tab allows for the accounting of intersection departures, Mathijs initially indicated that: “Not on the list at this moment, but I will discuss it.”, leaving the door open for such a feature in the future. Due to substantial discussion on the forum, however, a simplified version of this feature, where users can enter the desired runway distance found on the relevant charts manually, has made its way into the release candidate.

On another note, Mathijs has also disclosed that auto step-climb functionality, a highly anticipated feature that was missing in the P3D release of the aircraft, is being worked on. On the topic of fuel dump functionality, he indicated that as this relates to a non-standard procedure, it is of very low priority and will likely not be implemented soon.

Also, indicating that a release is moving ever closer, Mathijs has released both the paint kit manual and the paint kit itself on the forum, allowing eager painting enthusiasts to get their brushes out and give the bird some color in anticipation of its release.

Additionally, providing some new eye candy as well, Mathijs has posted some images showing the aircraft sitting at a gate in different liveries in 4k.

Finally, regarding the release date and expected pricing, Mathijs has indicated that a release date has been specified internally though he was unwilling to share the said date with the community. He noted that the official release date will be communicated on the forum a couple of weeks before the product’s official launch. Mathijs has confirmed that the aircraft will be priced at a lower price than most other high-fidelity MSFS airliner offerings, with the price set at less than €60.

We will keep you updated on any further developments regarding Aerosoft’s highly-anticipated Airbus A330 product. If you want to read more, feel free to head to the forum pages linked here.
