Aerosoft has recently previewed a few images for their next Prepar3D scenery, Región de Murcia Airport.
Región de Murcia Airport (LEMI) is located in the Southeastern part of Spain, near the coastal city of Cartagena. The airport has been in operation for just over 2 years. Prior to becoming a public use airport, the Spanish Air Force utilized the field for flight training. The airport was completed back in 2012, however, after many years of constant contract battles, the doors to the public finally opened in 2019. Since its transitionary phases, the first inaugural flight to Murcia was operated by Ryanair from East Midlands Airport. Numerous seasonal flights to Murcia are operated by European low-cost carriers. In addition, regular services by Ryanair and EasyJet to Murcia are operated from the U.K.
Preview images from their forum page show most 3D objects such as the terminal building, parking structures, and control tower already in place. Please keep in mind that the images are a work in progress. As always, further previews will be released as they become available. A question was raised on the Aerosoft forum for if this airport will come to MSFS; Aerosoft’s response was, “At this moment we only are willing to show the P3D version.”
