Many had been wondering as of late whether the Aerosoft PC-6 Turbo Porter project was still alive, and today we can put this speculation to rest by saying that, with great regret, the project has been officially cancelled by Mathijs of Aerosoft.
First announced back in 2014, the Aerosoft PC-6 Turbo Porter had the potential to be a great addition to our general aviation hangars. The project showed great promise from an early point, with high-quality screenshots of the plane already in-sim and flying having been posted as early as 2014, and a seemingly ambitious product scope behind it.
Alas, as time went on, it was clear that this project was anything but straightforward and was plagued by constant delays and silence. With the developer having no time to complete the project, Mathijs decided it was time to pull the plug, and that he did. Mathijs goes on to state that, “as the publisher, we do not feel this project will ever see a release in the form we would demand it to be”, and additionally apologies for keeping the hope of the community for the project alive.
