Aerosoft has been very transparent about which Airbus aircraft they want to develop next following the Airbus A330 releases for Microsoft Flight Simulator. We know that the A330 is the current focus for the team and it’s then going to be the narrow-body. But the discussion about what comes next is something that has been happening on the forums for a little while.
However, Project Manager, Mathijs Kok, gave the biggest hint yet about what the future will look like. On the forums, he answered a community member’s question about which Airbus could possible come in the future. Sadly he ruled out the A340, but said the A350 is a possibility.
Mathijs said, “sorry no 340 planned. We are looking at the 350 though.”
It should be made clear that this comment does not confirm that the A350 is in development, but that simply Aerosoft are considering the viability of bringing the Airbus aircraft to the simulator.
This news is certainly more positive than the last time we heard from the team about future Airbus projects. In February, Mathijs said that the Airbus A350 and the Airbus A380 were not considered as the data wasn’t available for them. Perhaps something since has changed and is something that can now be considered.
Regardless, an A350 in possible development is certainly exciting news for those looking to discover newer aircraft in the simulator.
In Aerosoft A330 for Microsoft Flight Simulator news, a few weeks ago, a single cockpit shot was previewed from within the simulator. You can see that in the featured image above. For more on the A330, check out our previous post.
