Aerosoft has sent out an e-mail to customers of pre-order editions of the much anticipated Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 that their order will be delayed. US-Store orders are not affected, but everyone that ordered through the EU store will see their delivery delayed.
As a reason for the delay, Aerosoft cites “unexpected shipping delays” to their warehouse in Germany, though the company did not provide further clarification on these delays. While a new delivery has not been confirmed yet, the company does “anticipate shipments to begin in the first week of December“, and hopes to ship pre-orders as quickly as possible.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is set to release on November 19th, in just two weeks time. While the pre-order editions contains a digital activation key for the simulator, one user shared a screenshot of their correspondence with Aerosoft, stating that digital keys will not be provided in advance, meaning those affected by the delay will need to wait until December.
Microsoft has not yet commented on the delays.
