Aerosoft has announced that development on Paris Charles de Gaulle Intl. Airport (LFPG) has been suspended indefinitely. The developer cited several reasons for this suspension, including limitations in access, reference gathering and “the overall conditions required to accurately and sustainably develop an airport of this complexity”.
Aerosoft announced the development of France’s largest airport back in May of 2025, when it was shared it was to be developed by Jo Erlend and Lukas Vezyroglou. At the time, the developer was confident that the necessary conditions and requirements would be met to undertake development of an airport this scale. However, Aerosoft has now concluded that this has not been the case, and the team does not feel it can continue development.
Aerosoft pointed to its recent release of Stuttgart as an example of its increased focus on detail and overall quality, stating that they intend to continue raising these standards with future releases, particularly for MSFS 2024. The developer added that a large and complex airport like Paris Charles de Gaulle requires the right conditions, reference material, and, in some cases, direct access in order to develop to this standard.
Aerosoft did not close the door entirely on this project though, as the developer concluded that they would love to continue working on Paris CDG in the future, and will continue exploring opportunities to move forward.
