It has long been quiet around this project, with development seemingly having been halted. However, over on the Aerosoft forums, Mathijs Kok has given us some surprise previews of in-progress renders of some airport details of Brussels International Airport (EBBR). The previews show different jetway models, bridges, a taxiway edge light and a VDGS system. The previews are best looked at in full resolution, as there is a lot of detail going on in them that might otherwise be missed out on.
Mathijs did not comment on the overall status of the airport. The previous version was being developed a few years ago by Gaya Simulations, with the last preview dating back to 2017 (see article featured image), but they have since stopped developing products for Aerosoft. It’s also worth pointing out that Mathijs’ announcement states that, thought this airport is currently intended to be for Prepar3D v4, the tools that are being used for development are more aimed at Microsoft’s upcoming Flight Simulator.
