Aerosoft confirmed that a Geneva for P3DV4 has been in development for a while. However, on Monday (sorry for being late!), Aerosoft announced that they’ll be bringing the scenery to X-Plane 11 also! Developed by Omar Masroor, the product will take full advantage of the tools and techniques within the simulator.
When talking about what users can expect from the scenery, the team were keen to talk about how they have created some impressive custom terrain mesh. The team has managed to create an extremely detailed terrain mesh, which is far superior to that of the default X-Plane mesh. In technical terms, the scenery will feature a planar resolution of 5 meters (compared to X-Plane’s 90M) and an altimetric resolution of just 5cm (again, compared to 1 meter in X-Plane 11). You’ll notice the impact of these techniques when taxiing and approaching on short final to runway 23. As shown in the video below, you can see how this level of detail creates an immersive experience.
Further features include the use of AutoGate jetways, native X-Plane 11 ground vehicles, static aircraft, volumetric grass and compatibility with World Traffic v3 and X-Life v4.
No details on a release at this time, but we’ll keep you posted.
