Aerosoft Announce Douglas DC-8

Over on their forums, Aerosoft have just announced their next aircraft: the Douglas DC-8. One of the most popular narrow body jetliners of all time. Built between 1958 and 1972, the Douglas DC-8 which would go on to become the McDonald Douglas DC-8 is still seen in service to this day. Although sparse nowadays, the total number of airframes built totaled to 556. Being operated by a multitude of operators including Delta, United, Iberia and many more.

This aircraft is being created by Michael Capenda (and friends). It is currently sitting in pre-beta but is already taking shape well. Mathijs Kok has described it as a medium complexity project. Although claiming that most systems will be modelled to a high level of detail. With more details to come soon.

At this stage we are unable to comment on any kind of release, but hopefully we will be seeing in the near to not-too-far away future.
